This site presents the work of Çağla Demirel. Fly by wire AB runs it, and this page explains what it keeps about you. In short: the site sets no cookies for visitors, stores nothing in your browser and loads nothing from other sites. The server counts the requests it answers, with nothing about who made them. If you write through the contact form, we keep your message for 12 months so that Çağla can read and answer it.
1. Who is responsible
Fly by wire AB, company registration number 559316-3313, Flädervägen 1 b Lgh 1401, 611 46 Nyköping, Sweden, is the controller of the data this page describes. Contact us about privacy at support@flybywire.se.
2. What we keep, why, and on what legal basis
| Data | What it is for | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Messages: the name, e-mail address, subject and message you send through the contact form | Passing your message to Çağla Demirel, so that it can be read and answered | Our legitimate interest in letting people reach Çağla Demirel through the site, and in answering them (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Your network address, when you send a message or ask for a sign-in code, held in the server's memory | Stopping the forms from being flooded | Our legitimate interest in keeping the forms usable (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Request counts: the server counts the requests it answers, by kind of page, answer and time taken, with nothing about who asked | Keeping the site working and fast | Our legitimate interest in running the site (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
| Administrators: the e-mail addresses of the people who run the site, their sign-in codes and their sessions | Letting them sign in to edit the site and read messages | Our legitimate interest in keeping the site's administration secure (Art. 6(1)(f)) |
As with any website, your network address reaches the server so that the page can be sent back. The server's log notes which page was asked for, the answer and how long it took, but not your address.
3. Your messages
Your message is kept on the site's server. It is read in the site's administration by Çağla Demirel and by the people at Fly by wire AB who run the site. The e-mail that tells them a message arrived says only that: your name, address and words stay on the server. If Çağla answers, the conversation continues by e-mail.
4. Who else handles it
We run the site and Koru Analytics, where the request counts are kept, on Koru hosting, our own hosting service, in Frankfurt, Germany. These companies handle data for us:
- OVHcloud (OVH Hosting Limited, in Ireland) runs the servers in Frankfurt that host the site, its messages and the request counts.
- Amazon Web Services (Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL, in Luxembourg) keeps the servers' backups in Frankfurt. They are encrypted before they leave our servers, so it holds them only as ciphertext.
- Resend (Resend, Inc., in the United States) delivers the site's e-mails: sign-in codes, and the notice that a message arrived. It handles the administrators' e-mail addresses only, never your message. For what reaches the United States, we rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, in which Resend takes part.
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
5. How long we keep it
- Messages: 12 months after they arrive, or less when they are deleted sooner in the administration.
- Your network address: one hour after your last message or sign-in code, in memory only.
- Request counts: up to 25 months.
- Administrators: e-mail addresses while they have access, sign-in codes until they are used or for ten minutes, and sessions for 30 days.
- Backups: each backup is kept for 30 days, and what is deleted is gone from the backups within 40 days.
6. Your rights
You have the right to see the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive the messages you sent in a machine-readable format (Art. 15 to 21). Write to support@flybywire.se. You can also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY) at imy.se.
7. Changes
When we change this page, we update the date at the top.
